Exam Results 2010
Congratulations to the Year 11 students who achieved their good results this year. The school maintained its record 5 A*-C figure from last year, with 60% of students achieving five good passes. A pleasing result.

Advance Notice for College Students Years 10 and 11
Thursday 2 September – Year 11
Radstock College and Strode College are closed; all Year 11 students that attend courses at Radstock College or Strode College should attend school in school uniform.
Friday 3 September – Year 10
Radstock College and Strode College are closed. Because the courses will not have started Year 10 students that are due to attend courses at Radstock College or Strode College should NOT come to school on this day.
St Dunstan’s School and Frome College are open. Year 10 students that are due to attend courses at St Dunstan’s School and Frome College should attend there. They should wear uniform and catch transport as advised by Local Authority Transport.

Friends of Whitstone
Friends of Whitstone is a committed group of parents who have got together to organise community events and raise money for various causes for our school. We have now had two meetings and also had a stall at Collett Park Day and we will always welcome any new members.
Bag2School - You can help raise money for our school and be environmentally friendly – click on this Bag2School link to find out more about an easy way to tidy up, raise money and recycle. Bag2School dates for your diary = Friday 17th Sept 2010 & Friday 29th April 2011.
Whitstone Quiz Night - Friday 15th October. Teams of up to 6 players, only £1 per player. Great prizes, raffle, refreshments available & BYO bottle (over 18s). Team up & join in – all proceeds go direct to our school.
School Uniform - Unwanted but good condition uniform? If your son or daughter has outgrown their uniform or recently left Whitstone then you could be a great help to others by donating it to the school.

| Home Access - free computers and internet access |
Home Access is a government drive that helps low-income families who currently lack access to a computer and/or internet to get online at home.
The programme is aimed at those that need it most. If you are a low-income family in receipt of certain benefits you could qualify for a grant to buy a computer and/or a minimum of one years’ internet access.
